Weight Loss Diet Program Archives


How long can you safely stay on a 1200 calorie diet, while taking a one a day vitamin for people on a weight loss programs. The program includes exercise and healthy eating. I currently way 214 and I am planning to stay on this diet until my weight drops below 200 at which time I will consume a 1500 calorie diet until i weigh under 175 pound at which time i will increase my calories to 1800 until I reach my ideal weight of 158 ponds. (I’m 5’7)and then will consume no more than 2088 calories.

Best Dieting/Weight Loss Plan…..?


I am looking for a good way to lose some weight, I of course would prefer to find something that would work some what quickly. I am needing to lose about 40 lbs. I am not used to carrying the extra weight and it is hitting my self-esteem hard. There is a big event I am going to in about 5 1/2 months so I would like to lose as much as possible prior to the event so I can go feeling good about me. I do not have money for the gym, but anything involving healthy food plans and exercises from home are great. Anyone with advice or things they have done that really worked well for them would be appreciated. Low carb meal plan without salads?


I recently started the Atkins low carb diet and I have a question. I don’t eat salad greens, never have, don’t like them. So, anyone have suggestions for meal plans for a low carb diet that doesn’t include salads? Please only serious answers, and please don’t try to convince me of the dangers of a low carb diet, I’ve done my own research. I am on my third day of the diet and it’s going well so far, but looking for inexpensive ways to create low carb meals. Thanks.

What is a good weight loss program?


I’m 18 years old and I’m at 6′ and 260 lbs…I’m wanting to get down to about 220 or so. I jog/run at least a mile and a half 5 days a week and lift weights 3 days a week. What would be a good diet plan or tips for my situation?


The idea of going on a "diet" had always been scary to me – I don’t think I have the willpower to give up my favorite feasts. Other thing is, I don’t trust the diet industry.
